Arizona Contractors Association (ACA) Statement of Privacy

ACA respects the privacy of its members and other visitors to its Web site. ACA strongly believes that if electronic commerce and online activities are to flourish, consumers must be assured that information provided online is used responsibly and appropriately.

Collection & Use of Information

Most data ACA collects are used to help ACA better serve its members. It is our policy to collect and store only personal information that our members and visitors knowingly provide.

Non-members

ACA does not collect any personal information from users browsing its web site. Users to public areas of the ACA web site browse anonymously. Only data such as the number of hits per page are collected. This data is used for internal and marketing purposes and does not provide identifying information.

ACA Members

To gain access to members-only resources on the ACA web site, members and other users are asked to register and provide some limited information. This data is submitted voluntarily. ACA asks users to provide name, member number (for member), organization name, business phone, and e-mail. Similar information may be submitted to ACA through membership applications, seminar registration, and publication orders.

Credit Card Account Information

ACA does not disclose credit card account information provided by its members or customers. When members and customers choose to pay using their credit cards, ACA submits the information need to obtain payment to the appropriate clearinghouse.

Cookies

Like most commercial website owners, we may also use what is known as "cookie" technology. A "cookie" is an element of data that a website can send to your browser when you link to that website. It is not a computer program and has no ability to read data residing on your computer or instruct it to perform any step or function. By assigning a unique data element to each visitor, the website is able to recognize repeat users, track usage patterns and better serve you when you return to that site. The cookie does not extract other personal information about you, such as your name or address. Most browsers provide a simple procedure that will enable you to control whether you want to receive cookies by notifying you when a website is about to deposit a cookie file.
