    AZCA is Your United Voice in Government - The AZCA lobbying team represents the construction industry before state and local governments. We focus our effort around Public Policy and Economic Development issues. AZCA influences government with our active membership engaged in our political efforts. Our Grassroots Network is our online tool designed to keep our members informed of government activities. Through the Network, AZCA members can express to public officials our questions, concerns and opinions on industry issues.     ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

    AZCA emphasizes our focus on promoting the construction industry our state, cities and towns to expand and attract businesses. AZCA works with state and local economic development organizations with developing strategic plans for economic development while representing the construction industry as a whole. AZCA assists with marketing our state, cities and towns as locations for business relocation and expansion. AZCA advocates for economic development policy designed to facilitate new business opportunities. In doing so, the relocation of businesses and the expansion of existing firms create new jobs for our industry and our state, and generate revenues for infrastructure projects to better accommodate growth and to minimize taxes.

    EVENTS REGISTRATION

    AZCA conducts several events annually, including informative educational seminars, luncheons, and networking opportunities. Signature events include our Annual Membership Meeting and our Annual Golf Classic.

    AZCA's social events offer member firms the opportunities to entertain clients, engage co-workers, and create and maintain business relationships within the construction industry. Join us at an upcoming AZCA event!

Standing Committees

If you are an AZCA member and interested in serving on any of the following committees, please contact AZCA: azca@azca.com

Executive Committee -- This committee consists of the AZCA State Board officers and is designed to direct, oversee and assure compliance to AZCA operations, policies and procedures, bylaws, and goals.

Economic Development Committee (EDC) -- The Economic Development Committee (EDC) of the Arizona Construction Association is a proactive entity; assisting key economic developers create, retain and expand businesses in Arizona.  Through communications with local economic developers, the EDC assists in providing conceptual cost estimates and help explain advantages in utilizing alternative construction delivery methods.  In addition, the committee keeps participants informed of leading developments from across the state.  Ideal participants include: contractor presidents and chief executive officers, owners, business development professionals, developers, government economic developers, architects and anyone who is engaged in the economic development community.

Legislative/Governmental Affairs Committee -- Your legislative watchdog. This committee develops and maintains productive relationships with elected and appointed governmental officials and agencies to further the goals of the association. The committee reports the progress of proposed legislation, which directly affects AZCA members and the construction industry as a whole to the AZCA Board of Directors.

AZCA Political Action Committee (AZCAPAC) -- The decisions of Arizona elected officials affect your business, you and your family. Do you want to have some input on who is elected and show your support of those candidates who are sensitive to your business concerns and those of the construction industry?  The objectives of the AZCAPAC are to make our views known, to help elect those who support our views and to continue to provide input on issues so that the ultimate votes appropriately reflect our concerns.  This is a circle of commitment which provides ongoing communications to policymakers and elected officials to ensure a healthy environment for all.
 
Safety Committee -- Safety First! is a phrase every construction company is intimately familiar with. The safety committee was formed to assist your company in adhering to this concept. The committee is responsible for the development and administration of a comprehensive safety program for AZCA members. This safety program includes educational seminars, Toolbox Talks, job-site evaluations, safety equipment resources, and OSHA regulations, monitoring and updates.

Membership Committee -- Membership is the lifeblood of all associations and AZCA is no exception. In order to remain effective, AZCA needs the strength members provide. To that end, new member recruitment is an ongoing effort. The membership committee is responsible for planning and executing membership drives to serve this purpose. The committee also functions as a liaison to existing members regarding their needs and wants for the association. This committee assures that you will receive the kinds of information and activities most beneficial for assisting you in making your business a success.
